Day 738 - Paso Los Libertadores, Chile - 16684 km

When I crossed Paso Los Libertadores a week ago during the day, my camera and were out of batteries. I wanted to come back to see it in the night. With my friend Adan, who offered me his couch in Santiago for a few days, we got back to the pass to do a hike and spend the night there.

The skies were clear and the sun had just set when we parked the car at the top of the pass. It was a lot colder than last time. We hiked up the mountain to get a good view on the road. The pass is also the busiest border crossing between Chile and Argentina and only open between 8am and 8pm, so we had little time. The top photo is a 60-second exposure of my SLR camera on the tripod, taken during the ‘blue hour’.
